I've been watching "Sandburg's Lincoln" that Lane gave us the link to.
It's much better than I remember, plus I know a little more about the events than the first time I saw it. After watching for the first hour, I can appreciate the actors portrayal a little better, with my favorite so far being Sada Thompson as Mary Lincoln. She doesn't show Mary as the most likable, but you can see how Mary was overwhelmed by events and tried to cope with the trials that came her way. You see Mary's pride in her family and also in herself, a touch of vanity and how that gets her into trouble.

Takes a few minutes to warm up to the story, but for me it's quite enjoyable.

I've always wanted to see "Young Mr. Lincoln" but I can't find it on DVD anywhere and it seems to be rarely on TV. My mum frequently checks AMC for me but it hasn't been on yet. Henry Fonda is one of my favourite actors and I'd love to see his portrayal of Lincoln.

I have seen bits of it on YouTube (the scene with Anne Rutledge) and it seems like it might be an alright movie.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) tends to show Young Mr Lincoln quite often

Thanks for letting us know. I'm going to have to try it, too, one of these days.
