For other tour dates go to http://spiritsoftudorhall.blogspot.com RE: 2015 at Tudor Hall - Jim Garrett - 04-27-2015 06:48 PM The Tudor Hall Symposium on May 9th is quickly growing. It's up over 60 pre-registrations and Harford County says that most of their events have as many or more same day registrations! It will feature, among others, our good friends Tom Bogar and Terry Alford. Tom Fink, president of The Junius Brutus Booth Society and the key organizer of this event originally intended to have Dr. Alford and Dr. Bogar wrestle it out in a mud pit, but I was able to dissuade him from this entertaining idea. A good time will be had by all. RE: 2015 at Tudor Hall - Carolyn Mitchell - 05-11-2015 09:57 PM Here's the link about the Booth symposium from Sat, May 9: http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/harford/belair/ph-ag-booth-symposium-0513-20150511-story.html#page=1 RE: 2015 at Tudor Hall - RJNorton - 05-12-2015 04:02 AM Thanks, Carolyn, for posting that link. I had already heard that the event was a smashing success. It was great to see the videos of three of our forum members...Jim Garrett, Dave Keehn, and Tom Bogar. RE: 2015 at Tudor Hall - Rsmyth - 05-12-2015 11:18 AM I thank you too, Carolyn! The night before the seminar Jim got to sleep in JWB's bedroom. RE: 2015 at Tudor Hall - L Verge - 05-12-2015 04:34 PM I heard a lot of Boothies saying they were going to spend the night in the Booth bedroom. I hope there was enough room - or did they rent it out for $25/hour? I am so happy to see that the seminar was so successful. Tudor Hall is a wonderful site, and the county should be doing all it can to get it open on a regular basis as a historic house dedicated to a dynasty in the American theatre history. Those who have fought against it in the past just because of John aren't thinking straight. Forum members - Lincoln Wonk - 05-12-2015 08:41 PM Everyone will recognize several people they know in this article from the Baltimore Sun: http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/harford/belair/ph-ag-booth-symposium-0513-20150511-story.html#page=2 RE: 2015 at Tudor Hall - Carolyn Mitchell - 05-13-2015 12:49 AM Both Jim Garrett and Dave Taylor got to spend the night at Tudor Hall. The next time I visit Tudor Hall I got dibs on JWB's room, Lol! Heck I travelled all the way from San Diego, CA just to attend the symposium Both Dave and myself were live Tweeting from the event, it was so much fun and to actually get interviewed by The Aegis newspaper that was cool too. It was great to finally meet Dave after all these years as well as Tom Fink. It was my first time in Maryland and finally got to visit the Booth lot at Greenmount Cemetery. Will definitely visit again soon. Next on my bucket list is to visit Edwin Booth at Mount Auburn Cemetery. RE: 2015 at Tudor Hall - HerbS - 05-13-2015 06:21 AM Great research and post Carolyn! RE: 2015 at Tudor Hall - Jim Garrett - 05-16-2015 08:07 AM The Tudor Hall Symposium was superb and it was great to share the event with such great scholars. Thanks goes out to Tom Fink for his vision and his gusto for pulling it off. |
