The former president of the Surratt Society, Louise Oertly, is a Lincoln descendant from another branch of the family (Mordecai's, I believe). I think I may have passed on a photo of one of her ancestors taken about 1920-30. The resemblance is amazing - and so is the length of his arms and legs, probably more pronounced because he's in his work shirt and pants (no bulky clothing that we are used to seeing Mr. Lincoln in). He and the President appear to be what my grandmother used to call "a long drink of water." Family traits, no doubt.
