RE: Assassination Trivia - RJNorton - 03-01-2018 10:12 AM Excellent memory, Susan! Kudos. Yes, several years ago we had a discussion of whether the man on the right (second floor) in this photo was Louis Weichmann (in the building where he worked - Office of the Commissary General of Prisoners). An enlargement leads one to wonder; no 100% conclusion was reached although most folks felt there was a definite resemblance. RE: Assassination Trivia - RJNorton - 03-22-2018 08:39 AM Who is this man? RE: Assassination Trivia - RJNorton - 03-23-2018 03:50 AM Hint #1: He was at Ford's Theatre the night of the assassination. RE: Assassination Trivia - AussieMick - 03-23-2018 05:13 AM William Withers Jr (orchestra leader) ? (after he'd had his mustache shaved off, maybe) RE: Assassination Trivia - RJNorton - 03-23-2018 05:55 AM Good guess, Michael, but it's not Withers. RE: Assassination Trivia - AussieMick - 03-23-2018 06:32 AM Harry Hawk ... must be (though Ive only seen the pencil drawing). yep, its him ... isnt it? RE: Assassination Trivia - Wild Bill - 03-23-2018 06:32 AM Jacob Ritterspaugh RE: Assassination Trivia - BettyO - 03-23-2018 06:58 AM Ferguson? RE: Assassination Trivia - RJNorton - 03-23-2018 08:07 AM Michael, Bill, and Betty....all good guesses....but unfortunately none are (is?) correct. RE: Assassination Trivia - Wild Bill - 03-23-2018 10:44 AM Joseph Stewart, who chased Booth off stage RE: Assassination Trivia - Gene C - 03-23-2018 11:32 AM Coughdrop Joey ? RE: Assassination Trivia - BettyO - 03-23-2018 11:55 AM Joseph Hazleton when Older....he was a programme boy at Fords - RE: Assassination Trivia - RJNorton - 03-23-2018 12:44 PM Kudos, Betty! Yes, it is an older Joseph Hazelton. He was the program boy at Ford's. He handed programs to the Lincoln party as they entered the theater. Earlier in the day John Wilkes Booth had talked with Hazelton in front of the theater. He later became an actor himself. Apparently he was a believer in the "Booth escaped" theory. If you scroll down you will find an obituary for Hazelton here: http://www.forensicgenealogy.info/contest_433_results.html RE: Assassination Trivia - L Verge - 03-23-2018 02:19 PM (03-23-2018 12:44 PM)RJNorton Wrote: Kudos, Betty! Keep scrolling down on that same link until you see an article about John Parker, the so-called bodyguard that night. You will see a photo claiming to be Parker taken from FindaGrave. Except, I don't believe it is Parker.
