RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - Rogerm - 07-18-2017 08:21 PM Just a linquistic note: "Mist" in German has a completely different meaning than it does in English. In the context that Eva used it, it is an expression of frustration. RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - LincolnMan - 12-17-2017 07:03 AM Something wonderful happened to me last week: an anonymous gift-giver sent me a STEINBACH LIMITED NUTCRACKER-LINCOLN. It came to my workplace. Wow! Very expensive, by the way. RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - Anita - 12-17-2017 02:20 PM Bill, what an amazing surprise gift! I checked it out and yes they are pricey but so wonderful. Which one do you have? RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - L Verge - 12-17-2017 06:34 PM I wish my knees could get me down the steps to my family room on the lower level. I think I have the $400 one sitting on my TV there! I have had it for years, but I won't be selling it anytime soon. RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - LincolnMan - 12-17-2017 07:55 PM That is what this cost! RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - Eva Elisabeth - 12-18-2017 09:13 PM Neat, and so appropriate for (to?in?) the season. Obviously they were never sold in Germany RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - LincolnMan - 12-18-2017 09:50 PM Eva: ecen though they are made in Germany? I finally was able to retrieve my Steinbach Limited Edition Lincoln Nutcracker from my downstairs family room, and it is #4608 out of "only" 12,000 produced in 1992. One site is advertising it now for $475. Mine is not for sale. RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - LincolnMan - 07-01-2018 11:28 AM [attachment=2879]Here is a beautiful Lincoln sculpture by Thomas Clark: Sorry about the pic being sideways. It straightens out when clicked on. RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - LincolnMan - 07-02-2018 10:07 AM The Lincoln sculpture is quite large and heavy. Anyone else familar with Thomas Clark? He operates in Nirth Carolina, I believe. RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - RJNorton - 07-02-2018 11:37 AM Bill, clicking on it does not straighten it out for visitors (non-members) of the forum, so I thought I would rotate it and post it for all to see. Personally, I was not familiar with Thomas Clark, but I looked him up, and I see he's done many "great people in history." https://www.replacements.com/webquote/co_tckmisfgrph.htm |
