This hasn't anything to do with Tarbell, per se, although it is connected.

Of whom did William E. Barton say "It is unfortunate, if this story came so vividly to [X's] recollection in 1865, that he waited more than a half century before telling it."

Generally speaking Tarbell was a very disciplined writer. Given that her pen was her only real means of support she had to be. However, there was one book which took her almost 13 years to write.

What was that book?
