RE: Jim Garrett - Anita - 07-14-2015 08:41 PM Jim, I am including my prayers here. Lots of positive energy is on it's way from the forum. Hope your surgery produces positive results and a speedy recovery. RE: Jim Garrett - Susan Higginbotham - 07-14-2015 09:06 PM So sorry to hear this. Wishing him the best. RE: Jim Garrett - Jim Garrett - 07-15-2015 12:24 AM Thank you all for the kind thoughts. Last week I felt a lump under my right breast and it was confirmed today that I have breast cancer. My family history regarding cancer is very dismal, both my mother and sister succumbed to breast cancer at roughly my current age and I also lost a daughter many years ago from a childhood brain tumor. This only strengthens my resolve that I will not let it get the best of me. I cannot stress more the necessity of self exams, and if there is anything that raises concern, move quickly. I will keep all in the loop. Again my thanks and love to all. RE: Jim Garrett - ReignetteC - 07-15-2015 09:18 AM Dear Jim, The kind and sincere comments on this thread prove that "the greatest healing therapy is friendship and love." And you have it all, Jim. God bless, Reignette RE: Jim Garrett - J. Beckert - 07-15-2015 02:52 PM You're in my prayers, Jim. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. RE: Jim Garrett - PaigeBooth - 07-15-2015 03:33 PM Jim-- I was reminded today of one of my favorite Walt Whitman quotes that I thought you might also like: "Keep your face always toward the sunshine-- and shadows will fall behind you." Wishing you a full recovery and sending you many well wishes of comfort. RE: Jim Garrett - LincolnMan - 07-15-2015 07:35 PM The Nash family will also be in prayer. |
