Worst Seat in the House
Anyone familiar with the book by Caleb Jenner Stephens?
The full title is: Worst Seat in the House: Henry Rathbone's Front Row Seat of the Lincoln Assassination.

Bill, Caleb (username: calebj123) is a forum member, and there is a thread about the book here. This year Caleb came out with a second book entitled The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln: An Illustrated Account of America's First Murdered President.

In the book, Caleb investigates the notion that PTSD affected Rathbone's life. It is pretty good and interesting

RE: Worst Seat in the House
Caleb spoke about the book at our 2014 conference and gave a good explanation as to why Rathbone might be diagnosed with PTSD in today's medical world. That kind of "presentism" I approve of...

Re.: " Rathbone might be diagnosed with PTSD in today's medical world" - certainly, I just wonder if it had saved Clara's life. One often reads of similar tragedies that had been foreseeable but unless something really happened there had been no way to interfere as the perpetrator hadn't agreed on any treatment etc. Lincolnman Bill, I'd like to learn what you think on this?
