For anyone living in the West Coast: Lincoln Exhibit at the Reagan Library.

The Reagan Library will present a special exhibit, A. Lincoln: From Railsplitter to Rushmore, from June 1 through Sept. 30 at the library, 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley, Ca.

Items have been obtained from 25 of the country’s most well-known Lincoln collectors, including Louise Taper, Hildene (the Lincoln Family Home), Ford’s Theater, National Archives, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.

This exhibit will feature more than 250 original artifacts on Abraham Lincoln and sets from the Steven Spielberg-directed movie “Lincoln,” provided by DreamWorks Studios.

Highlights of the exhibit include:
- Lincoln’s stovepipe hat and gold pocket watch
- Mary Todd Lincoln’s Bible and personal items
- Lincoln’s earliest childhood writings
- a Lincoln-signed copy of the Emancipation Proclamation and 13th Amendment
- a bloody pillow on which Lincoln died at the Petersen Boarding House
- a fragment of Lincoln’s coat from Ford’s Theatre
- the American flag that draped Lincoln’s coffin
- and the handwritten testimony of Boston Corbett, the man who killed John Wilkes Booth

The Reagan Library will also showcase the costumes and Oscar-winning sets from “Lincoln,” including the entire set surrounding Lincoln’s office, portions of Mary Todd Lincoln’s vanity set, and portions of the Peterson’s Boarding House set. Items on display include Oscarnominated costumes for Mary Todd Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln and Tad Lincoln.

The exhibit is sponsored by the Lincoln Club of Orange County. Viewing hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission fees range from $6 to $16. Children 4 years of age and under are free. Thanks for the reminder, Carolyn! This "bloody pillow" they mention is, I believe, the striped one that so many people remember being on display at the Petersen House bed.

Carolyn, are you planning on going? I would love to see some photographs of any Lincoln assassination things.
