Never saw that one! Look at that dress!
I'm trying to remember who wrote the book on Laura Keene. Was it Ben Graf Henneke?

Yes.
When your book comes out, Tom, will this photo be in it?
When do you think the photo was taken?

ISeeing I've never seen this one before, I say it was taken in her younger years.
Judging from the dress, I say that the photo was dated sometime in the mid to early 1850s....

And - if one looks at the cover of the Laura Keene Schottisch dated 1856 - it looks like she's wearing the same dress on the cover....

Sleeves and front look a bit different.

No, I'm going with the one I found at Harvard Theatre Collection, that I showed at the conference, in which she's wearing her Act III dress from Our American Cousin.
Very appropriate choice. Any word yet on the release date?

It's set for November 4: http://www.amazon.com/Backstage-Lincoln-...assination

Can't wait to get it!!`
She was quite attractive. Sad, that except for her part in the Lincoln assassination story, no one would be likely to know her name today.
