I've visited Peru a number of times and I recall being told that it was Millard Fillmore. Guano was a big deal at the time because of it's importance to agriculture. Don't know about today.

Good guess, Roger, but actually this was from the lips of a previous President.

Quick answer and absolutely correct, Anita.

Let's try this question - which should send most of you to your list of Presidents:

Which Presidents have only one syllable in their last name?
Trump, Bush, Bush, Ford, Taft, Hayes, Grant, Pierce, Polk
Darn! I thought it would take longer than that -- and I was counting on everyone forgetting about the present Prez. Good job, you old history teacher, you.

Here's another one: Which President is the only one to have Roman numerals on his grave marker?

At least it was still a big deal with our Latin teacher. His classroom looked like a jungle and he never failed to praise the penguins' digestive leftovers.

(No clue as for your question, Laurie, as I'd first think of someone Roman-Catholic, but I know it wasn't JFK.)
I have no clue. Warren Harding?
Sorry, Roger, not Harding. Clue #1 - an earlier American President.
John Adams.
I'd think some of the less "prominent" ones - Pierce or Fillmore?
Good guesses both of you, but not correct. Hint #2 - The number of numerals in the full Roman numeral on the gravestone will tell you which President he was. There are four.

XVII - Andrew Johnson, the 17th President.

Another good guess, but not correct. Keep eliminating via considering the number of times four Roman numerals are used to give an actual number.
Grover Cleveland - 22nd President - XXII
Nope. Check more towards the beginnings of our country.

Another clue: Kinderhook
