That is a very logical answer, Eva, but it was not Garfield.
I could rule out Kennedy, Lincoln, and the living ones, which leaves 34 to eliminate...
Correct - it's not Kennedy, Lincoln, or any of the ones still living.
(I must admit I was too curious and meanwhile cheated, so I am off the race.)
Hint #1: He was a 20th century President.
I'll guess Woodrow Wilson
