I learned today that Dr. Ernest Abel, author of A Finger in Lincoln's Brain & John Wilkes Booth and the Women Who Loved Him, passed away on the 22nd of January from pancreatic cancer. He was a member of this forum posting under the username Ernesto.

I enjoyed getting to know Ernie at Surratt Conferences over the last few years. He was the evening's entertainment in 2019, talking about JWB's love life.
