I am going to slip a trivia question into this thread because it speaks to Mr. Lincoln's legacy.

What major social movement/organization was founded on the 100th anniversary of Lincoln's birth?
The NAACP.

Wow, that was quick. Were you peeking over my shoulder?
No. I cheated. Can you say "Titus Ridgway"?
I'm not sure that this falls under Lincoln's legacy, but has anyone ever seen a photo of Mr. Lincoln's alleged bunk-mate at the summer White House -- Capt. David Derickson? I just read a claim that he is pictured at Lincoln's immediate right in the photo of the President, McClellan, and other officers at Antietam.
Here's something I found through surfing the net using Civil War David Derickson as the Google search terms

Thanks, Mick. I saw that photo on another site, but when comparing it with the one of the gentleman at Antietam, I just can't believe it is the same man - despite the increase in age. I'd love to find one of a younger Derickson, or at least have the Antietam photo with a caption identifying all the men in that photo.
There is a photo of (allegedly) a younger Derickson here. (Click on "See 1 more")

The only problem is that the photo is of Elmer Ellsworth, not David Derickson.

I shall contact Find A Grave about this error.

Elmer Ellsworth
It seems gone, at least I can't find it anymore.

Thanks, Eva. Yes, the folks at Find A Grave acted quickly.
