Booth and one of the other conspirators had a connection, at least in name, to a soldier from New Hampshire. What is the name of this soldier?
Does it have anything to do with North Exeter Street in Baltimore?
No, think further south, south of Washington.

Could that be a hint as to who the other conspirator might be?

Surratt?

No, the conspirator was not Surratt.

Hint #1: This soldier died in Virginia in April 1862.
Hint#2: Boston Corbett and the other soldiers from the NY 16th Cav. who cornered Booth are also connected to this New Hampshire soldier in the same way.
Hint #2.5: The other conspirator was Herold.
Hint #3: This soldier has a name which sounds like it could've come from the life of Julius Caesar.
Hint #4: I just checked and this soldier's name has appeared on the Forum before, but not really in the way I expected.
Hint #5: This soldier was in the Union army, he was in the First United States Sharpshooters.
Hint #6: Search for "catsup" Trivia
Hint #6.5: See Hint #4
Once you said "catsup," I thought of Heinz, but I have no idea if that is correct or how it fits into the question. I'll keep guessing.
