After seeing the post on Boothie Barn about the Lincoln View Master reels, I did some investigating and found View Master had done a set of Ford's Theater reels after the building was converted back into a theater. I asked for a View Master and those reels for Christmas, but the View Master I received was the new one that only works with your Smart Phone. After the holiday rush I ran all over town looking for an old style reel to call my own. However, my dad has one of the first viewers. My grandparents, Bob and Virginia Kearney, knew Ed Mayer, the guy who invented View Master, and as a wedding present, he presented them with a viewer and reels containing pictures from their wedding day. My dad let me look at the reels through his viewer but said I needed my own viewer. I had given away the viewer and reels I had as a child when I started Middle School, so I searched every store in town, until I came across a viewer at Tuesday Morning. Just one problem, the Viewer was in a gift pack of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reels and the viewer was meant to look like one of the "Heroes In A Half Shell". Seeing that it was my only option in town, and inexpensive, I bought the thing. Don't laugh, because after you read this you might get a viewer and those reels and they viewer might be a kids theme. DON'T LAUGH AT ME PEOPLE! Anyway I took pictures of the reels and a booklet written by broadcasting great Lowell Thomas. Link to album is below, I hope you enjoy!

No one is laughing, Thomas. You are one more good example of us Lincoln assassination "addicts" who will go to all reasonable lengths to further our knowledge and collections.
Awesome!
Yes, and I second Laurie, too! (I thought I was going to look at Ninja Turtles following the link...now you can laugh at me!)
My post has since been retweeted by Dave Taylor and Ford's digital media director David McKenzie.
