Something like this, perhaps?

The conference is April 8-10, 2016, Starts on Friday with the tour into Southern Maryland, reception at the museum on Friday night, sessions all day on Saturday, banquet and music that night, and trip to a fascinating area of Central Maryland on Sunday. Trips are priced separately and on first-come basis.

I have two more things to finalize, and then I will reveal all and also get conference packets in the mail to all Surratt members by November 15.
Thanks for the update Laurie. I am anxiously awaiting my packet! Always great to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
Thanks for the great info, Laurie. The anticipation of another fabulous conference will help make the winter months pass quickly.
Is it too early to start counting down the days to Conference 2016?
It is never too early to start counting down the days for the conference! This is my year to finally go to the conferece!
I will be the exclusive live tweeter for the conference using the #Surratt2016. Please follow me on Twitter.
Please post pics (too) - and have a great time everyone!

(PS: Thomas - I have no clue what "using the #Surratt2016" means but I hope you'll link to whatever you report!)
A family event will prevent me from attending the conference this year, but I will be with you in spirit. I'll be sure to follow your tweets, Thomas. And here's to 2017!
Question, folks. Does anyone dress in 1860's attire for the Saturday night banquet?
Everyone just dresses in regular clothing for the conference and banquet - usually a bit more dressy for the banquet; i.e. Sunday attire....
Thanks, Betty!
It wasn't for the conference, but about 25 years ago (when we were younger), we held a banquet at the Officers' Club at Ft. McNair (Washington Arsenal during CW). The OC is right across the street from what is left of the penitentiary and trial room. About a dozen of us donned our hoops for the event. Luckily, the upstairs ballroom is huge there and could accommodate so many women in full sail.
