I haven't purchased many books in the last 14 months due to my wife's illness and inability to work. But she's 100% again, raking in the bucks, and I'm obsessing on the 2015 Surratt conference. I need some books!

Okay, let's cut to the chase. What are the 5-7 'must have' books directly or indirectly related to the assassination released (or upcoming) since Nov. 2013? I want to buy at the conference if available so the SHM gets my $$.
Hi Wesley, I'm sorry to hear your wife had been ill for so long but glad she's well again!!!
Have you checked out this thread?

Personally I'm looking forward to this release:

Besides I'm currently reading this book:

Lots of fascinating information that was new to me, also on Confederate diplomacy, not only Union. Very dense (requires at times quite thorough concentration). It's not assassination book though, but a great (new) research and analysis.
I purchase the "Assassins Doctor" by Robert Summers late last year. I've thumbed through it, and it looks real good if you are interested in this side of the assassination story, the reviews on Amazon are good. It's a big book at 700+ pages, you will get your money's worth. I look foreword to reading it this year. Bob's a member here, read a few of his posts and you can tell he knows his subject.

Have fun at the conference. Wish I could go.
