Saturday, March 7 will include these three events:
1. On the Steps of the Lincoln Memorial – Free and open to the public
Re-creation of the Second Inauguration of Abraham Lincoln – 9:30am-11:00am
2. Inaugural luncheon at the Willard Hotel. Guest speakers Lucas Morel will discuss the impact of Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address; Edna Greene Medford will discuss the linkage of the Civil War to Selma’s “Bloody Sunday” 100 years later. 1:00pm-4:00pm. Reservations required.
3. Renown Civil War songster Bobby Horton will appear at the Willard, and in addition make a special appearance at the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, 7:30pm-9:00pm. Reservations required.
