It seems that a Ben Hardin Helm is in fact buried in Lexington Cemetery.
And the parents of John Todd Stuart rest right next to the other Todds.
The Ben Hardin Helm buried in Lexington is the son of Brig. Gen. Benjamin Hardin Helm and Emilie Todd Helm. All three of their children are there.
Several Todd family members are buried throughout the older part of the Lexington Cemetery. Mary's siblings, parents, some aunts and uncles, and ancestors are buried in Section F. This section contains the large obelisk monument.
Mary's maternal grandparents, Robert and Elizabeth Parker have found their eternal rest in Section D, Lot 110. Grandmother Parker died in 1850, leaving behind a will with specific instruction as to the future of her two enslaved household servants. Both Prudence Jones and Ann Bell are buried with Elizabeth and Robert. To my knowledge, these are the only enslaved servants buried with any member of the Todd family in Lexington Cemetery. While it may have been common for enslaved people to be buried with landowners in rural areas, in Lexington, enslaved people were buried in a different section of the cemetery.
