Loved the music of the Everly Brothers- still do. Sad to note his passing. His home in Nashville, by the way, was built before the Civil War. Nathan Bedford Forest once recuperated in the home after being shot in the hip by a Lieutenant.
Did Phil and his brother ever truly reconcile?
I think so. I know publicly they did- after a 10 year period of being broke up ad an act. I'd like to think they did, anyway.
Real nice Gene. Man, those guys could sing!

I'm listening to their greatest hits CD as I write this.
RIP Phil
I've been listening to them, too..... always loved them and their style -
That was an EB song I had never heard before - nice song, Kate. Thank you for posting the link.

Jerry, regarding reconciliation, I saw on the Internet this comment from Don: "I was listening to one of my favorite songs that Phil wrote and had an extreme emotional moment just before I got the news of his passing. I took that as a special spiritual message from Phil saying goodbye. Our love was and will always be deeper than any earthly differences we might have had."
Very nice, Kate. Love the photo with Buddy Holly. I remember when my wife and I saw The Buddy Holly Story starring Gary Busey. We really thought that was a good movie.
Gary Busey absolutely nailed the role as Buddy Holly. Has anyone learned where Mr. Everly is buried- or was he cremated?
