I'm holding my breath to see if he has been able to sneak forbidden photos in the Mudd House...

I saw that and how he did it - but my lips are sealed! I think we may have trained another Yankee in good spy techniques, Betty.

RE: Dave Taylor's LIVE blog of today's BERT
Thanks Dave, I've never been able to take the tour, now I get some idea of what I've been missing. Nice photo's.

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

As usual, the BERT had a good group. Always a pleasure when I can meet up with the tour at Ford's.

RE: Dave Taylor's LIVE blog of today's BERT
Lindsey and I are almost back home now. Thanks to all who followed us today.

I want to share a touching story from today. On the tour with us were three people, an older couple and their middle aged daughter. They told me that they had been on the tour three times before this with their son, Rick. Rick loved Civil War history and taking the Booth tour. Last September, the couple told me, their son Rick died of cancer at the age of 48. They were wearing shirts with his face on them and going on this Booth tour in memory of him and how much he loved history. I took a picture of the couple today and I'll upload it here when I get home. I thought that it was such a nice and touching tribute, and I think the Surratt House should be very proud of the fond memories this family has of their late son because of the tour.

Here are the Maurer's who took this BERT as a tribute to their son, Rick:

A truly lovely sentiment, I feel.

Dave did a fine job on his recounting the BERT through methods that I, as a man truly trapped in a 19th century mind, can only label as witchcraft. Enjoyed every picture!

And, I'm now teary-eyed after reading the Mauers' story. I remember meeting them and Rick on one of the tours. I have met so many fine people through my love of the Lincoln assassination history.
