I think that's the photo of JWB to the right of Edwin's bed. I'd love to see this. It's supposedly almost untouched since he passed there in 1893.

Neat photographs. Did I recognize Yorick in that last picture of the slide show? Alas, poor Yorick, he looks like he's lost some weight. (and his lower jaw) Nice to see he's been able to keep his youthful, charming good looks. He doesn't look like he's aged a day since 1893. Interesting tatoo on his forehead.

(oh dear! If Edwin died there, and the room has remained almost untouched since then, that's not, surely that's not........ick......)

That is Mrs. Booth in the frame on the mantel. A few years ago I walked in while they were having a function. I totally did not belong. I asked a servant if I could see the room and he got someone to unlock it.

Neat story, Rich. I've heard they're in financial dire straits due to mismanagement. Public tours might be a good idea.

Betty might pipe in here because I believe that she has been inside Players. Back in the early-80s, Dr. Lattimer took some of "our girls" around NYC, and the Players might have been one of the sites visited. I was going through a divorce, working three part-time jobs, and raising an 8-year-old at the time so could not go -- another reason why I wanted to kill my ex- in the 1980s! P.S. I'm much calmer now, and we are good friends. Sorry, if too much information...
