Dr. Leale in the Paper

So I was looking through some newspapers from April 15, 1865, I noticed that when mentioning the people present at Lincoln's deathbed, none of the doctors, including Leale were mentioned, though it was Leale that held Lincoln's hand while he was dying. Interesting information, tell me what you think of why the Evening Star did not post it correctly?

Also, if anyone knows how to get a transcript of Booth's "Crisis Secession" Speech, let me know!

Good observation. Abott A. Abott who wrote The Assassination And Death of Abraham Lincoln shortly after the event does not mention Leale either. He does, however, mention Surgeon General Barnes. I guess that the newspapers assumed that readers would know that doctors were present in the death room so that there was no need to list them, especially if they were unknown to the public like Dr. Leale and Dr. Taft.
