Laurie, if you can get the statue with a garden I'd go for this one:

The owl was/is a symbol of wisdom and a symbol of the city and state of Athens in ancient Greece - and depicted on the first "€", i.e. oldest widely and "internationally" used coins:

Sadly Greece nowadays has become somewhat detached from wisdom on the subject of money, also nowadays the owls would most likely drop down dead from the trees in summer as Greece is by far Europe's smog capital...

And as you can read here, President Theodore Roosevelt used a Classical Owl as a pocket piece, which inspired him to order the redesign of U.S. coins early last century:

Why do I have the feeling that your seated Truman statue will wash away with the first good rain?

I researched the same page on mentalfloss, however, I refrain from posting what my thoughts were in regards to the Obama creation. Let's just say they were similar to my first reaction to his election in 2008 and doubled in 2012...

Rapid City, South Dakota, has statues of all U.S. Presidents except for President Obama. He will be added once he leaves office.

Excellent thinking, Eva. It's not Illinois, but this statue is located in one of the states Lincoln was in during his lifetime.

I will look into presenting you with a free trip to Wisconsin. In Wisconsin you can go to Neenah and then to Phillips to see Fred's stuff. Then you will be whisked away to Rapid City, South Dakota, to see all the Presidents' statues there (you said you would like that). Best of all, your free trip will take place in July as you once mentioned your dislike of cold weather in an old post.
