Andrew Jackson's

Back to J.Q. Adams - I truly am trying to find the answer to this. It seems to me that he had an unusual pet also, but I can't remember what it was.

Excellent again, Laurie! (Seems it makes no sense to ask questions from the book on the presidents I bought at the Portrait Gallery...)

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
I remember these from a children's book that I bought for my grandson about ten years ago. I just can't remember the Adams pet. Someone else had a pair of tiger cubs given to them, but they had to be turned over to the zoo.

If it's the same book, Aaron and I both loved it. I also cheated just now and googled Presidential pets. JQ Adams had a pet alligator that was given to him by Lafayette.

Lafayette was also at the NPG:

The book is entitled "Smart about the Presidents" (thought becoming smart even though through a children's book would do no harm, wouldn't it?)

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
I'd guess George Bush W Bush since he was a managing general partner for several year for the Texas Rangers

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Logical guess, Gene, but it's not him. He's in 9th place tied with Herbert Hoover (both of whom attended 9 games). The leader attended 16 games.

Richard Nixon? (I think at least he was a baseball fan.)

Good try, Eva, but it's not him. He is tied for 3rd with Eisenhower (both attended 13 games).
