It's good to know that "Doc" is still around. He is the last graduate student of James G. Randall. I had the pleasure of talking to him several years ago at the Conference on Illinois History.

Not only is Doc still around, he is still actively working!
There are several well known historians in the last year or two that have availed themselves of his help. He is actually helping me with a project of mine as well. He is always very gracious and helpful. As Rob, mentioned he is a joy to talk to. |
