New film - last moments of JWB
For $1,500, you can be Boston Corbett, Lt. Doherty, or one of the Garretts in a new film on the last moments of Booth's life. The roles of Booth & Herold have been cast.

This is a "Kickstarter" project requesting donations to produce the film.

Hmmmm.....I think that the guy playing Herold would make a better Powell!

$1500 - eh? I think I'll pass......

It would be interesting to read their script, though. $20

When I get a chance, I think I'll contact them and offer historical assistance from Surratt House. I'd like to know the significance of their title -- I may scream if they are supporting the "Mars" Stanton did it theory...

I like this part from the script written by Mike Natale.

DAVID HEROLD

They're saying I'm a killer, John.
I didn't kill nobody.

JOHN WILKES BOOTH

To hell, what they say! You are
going to die in the service of your
country.

DAVID HEROLD

(terrified, on the verge of
tears)

But I don't want to die for my country!

RE: New film - last moments of JWB
I would think that a movie about the last 20 min of Booth's life would be exactly the intention to focus on conspiracy theories.
I don't think I will be contributing though. I don't believe I could pull off a very good Boston Corbett.
Of course I still would like to see it.

I wonder if the parts for James Boyd and Andrew Potter have been taken?

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

RE: New film - last moments of JWB
I saw the teaser trailer and Kickstarter interview and I believe I heard the writer say Booth and Herald escaped to Virginia and held up in a barn for like 20 days. Laurie, I think they could use any historical advice you can offer.

It was taken but nobody showed up.

The film will surely be examining the various "Booth escaped from the barn" scenarios and conspiracy theories ( my guess).

Looks promising. I'd love to play the part of Corbett! Having studied him for so long I could pull it off, but $1500 is a little steep for me these days!
Gene, you, me or anyone else can play the part of Andrew Potter since he is invisible!
