Congratulations to Barry Sheehy
Thanks to Laurie for sending this information:

"Congratulations to our forum member Barry Sheehy who has been listed as one of the top historians in Canada. Barry will be a speaker at the upcoming Surratt Conference in April, revealing his Civil War research on Montreal, City of Secrets: Confederate Operations in Montreal During the American Civil War."

RE: Congratulations to Barry Sheehy
Congrats to Barry Sheehy on being recognized as one of Canada's top historians. Kudos to Surratt Conference planners for asking Mr. Sheehy to present his research on Conferderate operations in Montreal. It's indeed a City of Secrets. Has he published his research?

Yes, the book has been in our gift shop for about six months. Barry's research, coupled with talks from others on the suspected ties to the Confederacy and Booth, will have one member of this forum likely frothing at the mouth - if he registers for the conference...

So much to learn - so little time!
