I went to this symposium last Friday. A nice trio of talks centering on Mary, her sisters Emily and Elodie, and Elizabeth Keckley by Catherine Clinton, Angela Esco Elder, and Jennifer Fleischner, followed by a panel discussion by the three authors. Only bad thing about the symposium was that I already had the books offered for sale, so I had to settle for a Christmas ornament.
