Kentucky Digital Library--Todd items
Apologies if this has been posted before, but I thought I'd mention that the Kentucky Digital Library has a number of online exhibits related to the Todd family, including Alexander Todd's pocket diary and numerous family photographs. Here's a page from the diary:

And here are a number of photographs of Emilie Todd Helm:

Those are neat links, Susan! Many thanks for posting. There are definitely photos included in that second link I had never seen before.

Alexander Todd died in the Battle of Baton Rouge in August of 1862. In October 1863 Mary Lincoln said to Emilie Todd Helm, "Willie lives. He comes to me every night and stands at the foot of the bed with the same sweet adorable smile he always has had. He does not always come alone. Little Eddie is sometimes with him, and twice he has come with our brother, Alex."

Same here - wonderful photos. I didn't expect so many to exist at all. Thanks for sharing!

First time seeing that quote. Thanks for posting. Was this pre or post assassination?

RE: Kentucky Digital Library--Todd items
Mary's quote took place roughly 18 months prior to the assassination of her husband.
