RE: Who is this person?
Good guess, but, sporry, it's not Comanche either.
Hint #3: The horses new name began within "W". The original name began with "R". |

RE: Who is this person?
Phillip Sheridan had a horse named "Winchester"
So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

RE: Who is this person?
Another good guess, Roger, but kudos, Gene, this is Winchester! His original name was Rienzi, and he died and was stuffed in New York in 1878.
You win a free ride on Winchester. |

RE: Who is this person?
Let's try one more horse question. What is this horse's name? What Civil War era person rode him?

Brilliant, Anita!
I am going to use Eva's idea and give the same sort of prize Gene won - you win a free ride on Old Baldy. |

RE: Who is this person?
I think there's at least some resemblance to Samuel J. Seymour, so I'll guess him.

RE: Who is this person?
Another fantastic guess, Roger, but it's not S.J.Seymour either.
Hint #1: This gentleman was personally acquainted with the Lincolns. Hint #2: The photo was taken in 1943. The gentleman was 89 yrs of age at that time. |
