Lincoln's wallet - the newspaper clippings
I have a question about the newspaper clippings which were in the wallet of President Lincoln the night he was shot. Some accounts say that there were 8 clippings: (1) Emancipation of Missouri; (2) The Disaffection Among Southern Soldiers ; (3) John Bright on the Presidency; (4) President Lincoln; (5) The Message of the Governor of Missouri; (6) A Conscript's Epistle to Jefferson Davis; (7) Sherman's Orders For His March and (8) President Lincoln's letter to Mr. Hackett. I’ve found and read them all, thanks to Google. Other accounts mention 9 clippings. The above 8 and (9) The Two Platforms: Lincoln & Johnson. Is that true? And if true, where can I find a link to this clipping? Or has someone a readable jpg image? I’ve not found it. Thanks as always!

RE: Lincoln's wallet - the newspaper clippings
Kees, if you go to this page it looks like possibly the letters from disaffected Southern soldiers are being counted as two separate clippings.

Dr. Papenfuse says, "The fifth and sixth purport to be actual letters from disaffected Southern soldiers found on the battlefield."
