Boston Corbett Collection
The Kansas Historical Society has digitized their collection of Boston Corbett materials. Now we can all stop wondering what Boston Corbett's library card looked like (among many other things).

Absolutely astounding, Dave!

What a great find. Now....let me see if I can find Lew Powell's library card! HA!

Thanks so very much for sharing!

There are many letters that Corbett received to go through:

RE: Boston Corbett Collection
Thanks for sharing, Dave. That is an interesting web site.
It appears as though he didn't use his library card very much.

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

RE: Boston Corbett Collection
I see he signed his name as "Boston," but his given name was Thomas. I wonder which name his military record uses?
Also, his dwelling looks pretty squalid. He was an odd duck for sure.

He's listed as "Boston Corbett" in his service records and pension files.

RE: Boston Corbett Collection
I guess actual legal names were not so important then.
