RE: Stump the German
Good guess, Roger. The Gettysburg address is indeed engraved in the freedom bell the American citizens gave (see post #81 on this thread), but it was not the soldiers' present.

Hint #1: It wasn't anything written.

A stovepipe hat?
So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

Very smart, Gene, but sorry, it wasn't a stovepipe hat. But something as "famous".

A replica of Lincoln's log cabin birthplace. Score one more for the Germans, please.

Excellent, Herr Beckert. It was re-buit in original size. (The axe came pretty close.)

RE: Stump the German
Inspired by Anita's latest trivia question and another recent post: where is this Abraham Lincoln bust?

Hint #1: It's in a church.

I have no idea, but the whole lay-out looks European to me -- maybe Italy?

Okay, back to the drawing board. I was guessing Italy because of Anita's post about The Apostate (starring Duke Pescara as in Italy). Since a recent post by Angela had her heading to Austria, let's guess Austria???

RE: Stump the German
Another very smart guess, but I'm sorry, it's not in Austria (there the bust would probably be a carved one).

Hint #2: You can't pay in € there.
Actually I even wanted to know where in that country.
Hint #3: Go back to the roots.

I don't know the name of the church, but because of that hint I will say Hingham in Norfolk, England.
