Lincoln's funeral: expenses

I just finished re-reading Margaret Leech's "Reveille in Washington", and the first appendix contains an itemized list of the expenditures of Lincoln's funeral. I thought those of you interested in assassination-related items would like to see this. I will ask Roger to help see that the list gets added to my thread.
Does anyone know what Taylor's Patented Liniment, gound mustard, or tincture of camphor might have been used for (although camphor has been know as an embalming agent)?

Hi Joe,

This is from "Lincoln's Last Hours" by Leale: After they got Lincoln settled in the bed at the Petersen house.

"Then I sent the Hospital Steward for a Nelaton probe. No drug
or medicine in any form was administered to the President, but the
artificial heat and mustard plaster that I had applied warmed his cold
body and stimulated his nerves."

Mustard plasters are still used today.
