Wild Bill, in post #20 mentions the book Civil War Echoes. It can be found in the Internet Archives

The author has some impressive credentials, however many of the statements made by the author in this second chapter seem to me to be very questionable. (ex. Col Jacokes peace negotiations with Jefferson Davis, and train ride and conversation with Mary Surratt p85-91) So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |
