I wonder in a round-a-bout way if you could "pin" it on Harbin. If he and Baden hadn't been seen rowing across the river, the troops might not have crossed into VA as soon as they did, giving Booth more time to get further south...

I asked this same question in a round about way on another Lincoln site lol few years back . I got raked over the coals for saying I figured Booth would have been long gone possibly out of the country. Ok they were not my original thought, I read it by some author who said something to that effect. Thanks
