Susan, I'm sure you know all the information in this thread, so I'll skip ahead a bit to Mary Virginia "Jennie" (Treakle) Bartlett, wife of Giles Bartlett, and some news clips.

I got the clips out of order for the contested will of John W. Starr insofar as Louis T. Starr is concerned, but you can see in the final decision that the judge declared Louis wasn't really his son.

Mollie "Towner" is, of course, Mollie Turner, aka Mary Jane (Starr) Treakle. I tried to attach the will of Mary Jane, but the system won't let me. I may have to get Roger's assistance for that.

You might note the clip for a "sister" of Mrs Giles Bartlett visiting 5 years after her death. I haven't pinned her down yet, but if really a sister she should be Alice Teresa (Treakle) McJenkins. The only Alice McJenkins I found is not Alice Treakle. This may be her in the 1860 census with her father and step-mother.

The will of Mary Jane Treakle was written 27 Apr 1886, and she passed away 11 Oct 1888.

Savannah Treakle was a widow by 1880. Her daughter, Laura, may have died as well. In the 1900 census she shows 2 children born, one living.
