A Death in the Family

I just learned today that the great-granddaughter of Henry and Clara Rathbone passed away on November 9 in nearby McLean, Virginia. She was 75 years old.

Bettina Rathbone Hartley Tierney's grandmother was Clara Pauline Rathbone Randolph, daughter of Henry and Clara. Grandfather Randolph, Dr. Buckner McGill Randolph, was Chief of Medicine at Walter Reed Army Hospital throughout WWI and the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918. His wife (Clara Pauline Rathbone) died during that epidemic.
