RE: New Development in Booth Case Coming Soon
I have pretty much given up on this post because I really don't think it is going anywhere except the "false claims" file. After fifty+ years of speculation from numerous sources - most of which now fall back on the old DNA defense - I'm bone-weary on the subject.
However, just to keep our two Steves on the hunt a little longer, Arthur Ben Chitty, one of the plaintiffs in the 1990s' case to exhume the body of JWB from Green Mount (the other being Nate Orlowek), was a huge supporter of the University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee, as well as being on the faculty. Very nice gentleman, and he termed himself a "historiographer," not a historian. I wonder if that "other JWB" having supposedly been a carpenter there a hundred years before Chitty sparked any vibes? Coincidence? Maybe not... |
