If Booth broke his leg at the theater, would he have been able to dismount his horse, walk up and down the steps at Mrs. Surratt's boarding house, and then remount his horse? And do it by himself?

Who lived in the basement level of the house?

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?
