Where was Sarah in JAN 1865
I have seen several Posts lately that do not reflect that Sarah was in Canada for New Years day.
Sarah arrived in Canada in early Dec. with Cameron as a guide. This is confirmed by her signing the SLH register about Dec, 13. She used "A. Reynaud". P.S. Does anyone have a copy of the SLH Register?
This also shows us that Sarah left from Canada, to get the Raiders papers in early Jan. "65 This was her first assignment and she didn't know that she needed a passport to get help from the Spycamps on the Potomac. She used the "Visit to her Mother as a "Cover" if the North intercepted her request.
When she left Richmond in late Nov. she was on Cameron's passport with another lady as "Cameron and two Friends". We believe that both The "friends" were ladies "Sarah and Josephine Brown". Josephine was going to Canada to Join her husband, who was working in Thompson's office. Their names appear in the SLH Register on the same day - confirming our I.D. of the "friends".
