Correct, Paige! Mrs Surratt as well as Dr Mudd were both held at the Old Capitol Prison - not on board the monitors. Gardiner's "mug-shots" were taken onboard the monitors - not at Old Capitol. If there are photos taken at Old Capitol, where are they? Rose O'Neal Greenhow had her photo taken in the courtyard of the Old Annex of the prison in 1864....either by Brady or Gardiner - I think Brady.....

Betty-- that is an amazing picture of Rose Greenhow; I have always been fascinated by her! You are absolutely right about the picture of her-- it was taken by Brady. You reminded me that the picture is marked on the bottom "by Brady."
