I suppose I'm just comparing what I wrote with what I wish I could have written. When I write about Lincoln, I know what to say and how to say it: I've been studying his life and writings for a couple of decades now. But I have only gotten into Rockwell in depth in the past couple of years, though I've admired his work for much longer, and I'm not quite sure how to say what I'd like to say. So, I tried to draw attention to some of his works that aren't as well-known as the most famous ones, and to bring to light some "back-stage" facts. Thanks again. |
