Thank you very much, Laurie. As an update, the email you gave me was still good. Steve Miller replied right away and we've been corresponding regularly over these past couple of months. He's been an enthusiastic treasure trove of information and leads, including to a document in private hands that was invaluable in linking up Edward Doherty's early life to his Canadian relatives that are the subject of my research. So much appreciated!
