RE: Lincoln's special bundle
Thanks, Mr. Hess. I am so pleased with the politeness, respect, and courtesy everyone here is showing each other that yesterday I put links from some of my Lincoln website pages to this site. I am also very pleased to note that Dave Taylor of the outstanding BoothieBarn site has added a link from his site to this forum. I am also proud to announce that the Surratt House Museum website has done the same.
Because I have now connected the two sites students using my "old" website will be coming here, and they can use the search feature to see what the experts here have to say about the Lincoln-related topic they are researching. If the trend continues, this forum will (over time) become an encyclopdia of information "all-things-Lincoln" and can be used by teachers and schools everywhere. I know many teachers/schools/librarians, etc. hesitate to link to a blog/discussion group on their own websites, but once they see the incredible knowledge of the folks who have joined here they just may change their minds! I thank all of you for your wonderful contributions to this new site! It's a totally free site. I will accept no requests for any sort of display ads. And for those that are curious, it costs me nothing to have the site on my server. The program (MbBB) is free software, and it is located on my server just as my Lincoln website. So the monthly fee I pay to my host company will remain unchanged and is not affected or increased at all by the "new addition." The posts here are already searchable in Google. This morning CBS had a story about the "impeach Lincoln" book already discussed here. Well, if you type "impeach Lincoln" into Google's search form you will see a thread Laurie started on the very first page of listings. |
