RE: questions
Anyone interested in the history of Washington, D.C. should subscribe to this free Streets of Washington website cited by Rob. Members of the Surratt Society will be receiving their October newsletter in a week or so, and there is a lengthy article on the history of Willard's Hotel that Mr. John DeFerrari, manager of the website, kindly permitted us to reprint.
P.S. Betty O. will have an important article in that issue also. And, Linda has done extensive research on the Seward's home on Lafayette Square, which has a rich history. Right now, the floor plans are elusive, but Linda is a terrific history sleuth. |
