Fun with Lincoln's Cabinet

All of this fun aside, I think it would have been fascinating to sit in on some of Lincoln's cabinet sessions. I am currently re-reading Doris Kearns Goodwin's A TEAM OF RIVALS. It continues to amaze me how Lincoln was able to make this collection of diverse personalities function as a unit. Some of these men practically detested one another. Many were resentful of Seward for his special access to the President.
