In addition to his book Weichmann also maintained that the 9:00 P.M. visitor was Booth in his August 11, 1865, affidavit.
Weichmann stated: The gentleman whom she expected at nine o'clock, on her return, called. It was, as I afterwards ascertained, Booth's last visit to Mrs. Surratt, and the third one that day.
